Hannah's Bat Mitzvah!

On Saturday, April 27, 2002, friends and family gathered to celebrate Hannah Frieds Petersen's arrival as an adult in the Jewish Community. An inspiring service was held at Mishkan Shalom synagogue. Hannah read her torah portion with skill and then added her thoughts in intelligent, ethically impassioned way. Speeches by the rabbi, Tom and Amy were excellent, humorous or food for throught.

The celebration continued that evening, as guests enjoyed a great meal of salmon, pasta and veggies. The McConnell Street Buskers played, with Hannah's cousin Robbie Whelen singing and playing lead guitar. Cousin Benjamin Fried-Cassorla played bass. An Israeli dance teacher led all kinds of fun dances.

Here are some scenes from that wonderful day. Enjoy! Last updated -- 6-10-04
