Melrose Park, PA, -- Earth Day activities are planned for Melrose Park on Sunday, April 22, from 10 am to noon. Come join in the fun and see some immediate results! Attention will be focused on improving the area immediately surrounding Mill Creek where it enters our Township. Where: Meet at the clearing near Mill Creek along Coventry, between Cheltenham Avenue and Valley Road. When: 10 a.m. to noon, Sunday, April 22nd. RAIN OR SHINE!

What: Plantings, clean-up, eating, convivial conversation! For plantings ideas, see: http://www.fried-cas.com/mpna/beautification.html Volunteers are needed to work, and to supply plants, mulch and fertilizer. Bring hand implements, gloves clippers, and more. Bill Donnelley will be coordinating plant and supply contributions. If you cannot attend and want to drop off plants or funds, call Tom Steigerwald at 635-1648 for how. Food is needed to keep busy conservationists well-fueled. Please volunteer edibles and beverages!
